PUBG Mobile update 0.17.0 is still a few days away. However, the update for the beta version is already available, and it has many features from the 0.17.0 update. The new update is supposed to bring in some new changes such as the inclusion of a color blind mode, death replay as in Call of Duty, an upgrade to the UZI, and the new DBS shotgun, amongst other new features.
There have been various leaks and rumors from different YouTubers and to make it easier for you to understand what the new update would offer. Here is a list of important features and items that would come with the 0.17.0 update.
DBS Shotgun in PUBG Mobile 0.17.0 update
DBS would be the new weapon that would come with the update. It is a double-barrel shotgun with a pump-action and bullpup design. The shotgun can be acquired from airdrops or care packages. It has a couple of internal magazine tubes that can hold up to fourteen 12-gauge rounds. It can also be equipped with a red-dot sight, holographic sight, and 2x to 6x scopes, making it one of the most deadly weapons in the game.
UZI is one of the most commonly found submachine guns in the game. It uses 9mm bullets and is extremely deadly at close range. Until now, a player couldn’t attach any scopes or sights to the UZI, but the new update would allow a player to equip red-dot or holographic sight on the gun, making it even better at medium distance encounters.
In 2019, PUBG Corp announced that the PUBG Mobile would get a colorblind mode. The announcement was made during the PMCO 2019 Fall Split Global Finals with the promise to add the feature in 2020. The 0.17.0 update might just do that as the colorblind filter is present in the beta update for the game. It would be extremely beneficial for people who are colorblind and have difficulty identifying certain things.
Death Replay in PUBG Mobile 0.17.0 update
In PUBG, if you die, you die. These deaths often leave the players wondering, how did that happen? To help the players understand what went wrong that led to their demise in the game, PUBG is adding a death camera, a popular feature in Call of Duty, to show the player how their enemy bested them.
Another expected feature for PUBG Mobile is the introduction of tactical markers. This feature would allow players to mark up to eight different points using different markers. Until now, only one marker is available in the game. The new feature would allow players to use different markers to denote enemy location, gathering points, weapons crate, and other things.
Extreme Cold Mode
To make the survival mode challenging, PUBG Mobile is getting an Extreme Cold mode. In this mode, the players would need to continually build fires and hunt animals to survive the cold wave. A timer would denote when the next cold wave is due to allow the players to prepare for it.
Apart from these changes, a few minor changes are also expected, such as the Erangel 2.0 update.
The beta version of the 0.17.0 update is already live, and the final version is going to arrive at the beginning of March. Along with the above-mentioned updates, the upcoming version of the game would also feature 2nd anniversary content for PUBG Mobile.
Apart from this gamers can look forward to PUBG Season 12 which is rumored to get 11 new emotes, 100 RP rewards, and a new Royale Pass.
